Alexis is a native New Yorker with a love for all things crafty. After obtaining a degree in design, she followed her dreams and became an elementary school teacher. Since the birth of her daughter, she has finally returned to the career she truly enjoys: designing. Through paper and ink, keyboard and mouse, Alexis' creations often have a focus on color with a touch of the unexpected. In addition to creating layouts and altered projects, she designs her own paper and embellishment line through Dream Street papers, which has four releases to date. Throughout her designing career, her work has been featured in publications such as Better Homes and Gardens, Memory Makers Books, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbook Trends, and Scrapbook Dimensions. She has designed for various manufactures including Hambly Screen Prints and Urban Lily. When she's not designing, she can found spending time with her family or lost in a the latest historical fiction novel.
