Summer's creative journey began at a young age. She grew up surrounded by inspiration - her mother made dolls, jewelry, pottery and even designed wallpaper. It seemed natural for Summer to take a creative path in life as well. She received her first camera in 1976, and although it wasn't loaded with film until many years later, the seeds of artistry had been planted. She found herself drawn to photography and landed on the yearbook staffs in middle school, high school and college. After the birth of her first child, Summer discovered scrapbooking as we know it today and has been hooked ever since. This year she was named to the 2007 Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame. Her published creations can be seen in Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks Etc., Making Memories, Simple Scrapbooks, Paper Trends, Scrapbook Trends and Cards. Summer lives with her husband of 14 years, Brad and her 2 children, Grant and Corinne in Tigard, Oregon.
